Chicago Cubs Charities' 8th Annual Race to Wrigley 5k Run, which starts and finishes at legendary Wrigley Field, helps kick off the baseball season and runners and sponsors can show their support for a good cause. This year, personal fundraising proceeds will benefit Lurie Children's Hospital-after you sign up for the race, then register as a fundraiser and make every step count.
The course route proceeds through the streets of the Lakeview neighborhood before returning to the Friendly Confines, where runners run through Wrigley Field's ground level concourse, finishing under the famed Wrigley Field Marquee at Clark and Addison.

Chicago Cubs Charities supplements the efforts of the team to harness the passion of Chicago Cubs fans and improve the lives of children and families across Chicago. In making grants and undertaking sponsorships, Chicago Cubs Charities supports youth sports, fitness and health, education and literacy, children with special needs, the Lakeview Community, MLB related events and Cubs Care donations.

Wrigley Victory Lap:
Runners and Virtual Runners who raise $1,000 or more are our Race MVPs and will run a victory lap around the warning track in Wrigley Field and receive a "Race MVP" ball cap. Cross home plate as your supporters cheer you on from the stands and see your name on the Wrigley Field Scoreboard! The victory lap will take place following the Race to Wrigley and you'll be able to enjoy breakfast in the ballpark. Fundraisers who qualify will be contacted with specific information prior to the event.
In order to qualify, you must have reached $1,000 by Thursday, May 9, 2013 at 12 p.m. (Noon) CST. An email will then be sent to the fundraisers that qualified with instructions on where to meet after the race on Saturday to run the victory lap!

- Recognition in a pre-game on-field ceremony

Pre-Register by Mail:
Send your check and money order made payable to SEM and the completed registration form to Special Events Management, 2221 W. 43rd Street, Chicago, IL 60609. Pre-registrants will be able to pick up their packets race day at the race day registration location. A separate line will be available for pre-registrants. If you would like to have your shirt and bib number mailed to you, you can for an additional $7. To get this option you must register by April 1, 2013.

Packet pick-up is also available on race day starting at 6:30 a.m. at Clark St. and Waveland Ave.

Race day fee is $40
Race day registration will be open from 6:30am to 7:50am in the Purple Lot at Wrigley Field (Clark & Waveland) IF THE EVENT IS NOT SOLD OUT. Please arrive early to ensure accurate and timely entry into the race.
Pre-registered participants can also pick-up their race packet/race number/t-shirt on race day.

Wear Your Official T-Shirt!

We encourage all participants to wear their official Race to Wrigley T-shirt! All participants receive a performance moisture management running shirt.

There will be a limited amount of FREE event parking in the Green Lot (on Waveland just east of Clark) of Wrigley Field. Limited metered parking may be available within the area but be aware of no parking and 'zone parking' signs. For information on public transportation to the event, please call the RTA information line at 312-836-7000 or visit www.transitchicago.com.
