Voices for Illinois Children was created in 1987 through the efforts of The Plan of Action for Children Task Force. This group of civic, business, community, academic and philanthropic leaders recommended a comprehensive package of policy and program reforms for children and established Voices for Illinois Children to develop and promote strategies to improve conditions for children in our state.
Voices works to measure the needs of children and provide reliable analysis of conditions that impact those needs, monitor government and community actions that affect children and mobilize citizen support for key children's initiatives.
