Mayor Richard M. Daley will again welcome cycling's elite to Grant Park on Chicago's scenic lakefront for the 2nd annual Chicago Criterium. In 2008, the competitive cycling event featured 10 pro/am races. It's expected to be even bigger in its sophomore year!
Chicago Criterium spectators will have a unique opportunity to experience one of cycling's most exciting racing events from several route locations including a grandstand at the start/finish area located on Columbus Drive in front of Buckingham Fountain (Columbus and Balbo). There are also giant jumbotrons to catch all the racing action on the big screen. The criterium also features a sports expo with sponsor booths as well as those of other vendors.
