YG Games - A Field Day for Grown-ups

Feel Like a Kid Again at the YG Games!
The fifth annual field day for grown-ups benefitting Youth Guidance. 5-person teams compete in games that bring everyone back to childhood like tug-o-war, the egg relay, potato sack race, and many more!

The YG Games is a unique fundraising event developed by the Youth Guidance Metro Board to raise critical funds and awareness for Youth Guidance, one of Chicago's oldest and most enduring social service agencies dedicated to helping at-risk children stay in school.

All players receive:
  • Goody-bag with team T-shirt
  • Complimentary food & drink vouchers
  • Entertainment provided by a live DJ
  • After-party at local bar & grill
  • Prizes for the top scoring teams

Step 1
Register your 5-person team for free at www.yggames.org

Step 2
Raise at least $500 for Youth Guidance using Firstgiving.com (that's only $100 per teammate) -- Prizes will be awarded to the teams that raise the most money for Youth Guidance.

Step 3
Grab some sweatbands, lace up those sneakers, and bring your friends and family to cheer you on!

Packet Pickup: 11:00AM - 1:00PM
Games Begin at 1:00 PM
After-party starts at 4:00PM

Awards
Awards will be presented to the top 3 scoring teams at the event, and the top 3 teams that raise the most money for Youth Guidance.

Food & Beverage Tent
Food, soft drinks & beer (for those 21+ with ID) will be available for all event participants. All participants will receive a limited number of complimentary food and beverage vouchers with their registration package. Food and beverages will also be for sale.

Water
Complimentary cups of water will be provided for all event participants throughout the day.

Parking
Limited street parking is available in the surrounding area.

Deadlines

About Youth Guidance
For more than 84 years, Youth Guidance has been empowering some of Chicago's most under-served children to succeed in school, and ultimately in life through a variety of programs and services designed to nurture academic, social and emotional growth.

Currently, Youth Guidance serves almost 14,000 children annually with locations at more than 40 Chicago public elementary and high schools. These school-based offices assist students and their families overcome the challenges associated with inner-city life by providing immediate access to academic support, life skills training, case management, counseling, creative arts programs, health services, college preparation, and career development support.

ABOUT THE YOUTH GUIDANCE METRO BOARD
The Youth Guidance Metro Board is comprised of young professionals interested in helping Chicago youth to succeed in school and in life. The Metro Board's charter is to provide support for Youth Guidance by working with the staff and board of directors to help remove obstacles that prevent or discourage youth from pursuing education.
