Chicago Blackhawks Mad Dash to Madison 5K Run/Walk & 10K Skate

Celebrate the Stanley Cup-winning Blackhawks as they kick off the 2010-2011 hockey season at this annual fanfest! The Mad Dash Run/Walk and (inline) Skate is held as part of the team's annual Training Camp Festival, a day-long event filled with activities both outside and inside the United Center. The festival takes place on Saturday, September 18, between 8:00am and 2:00pm.
In addition to the morning's run/walk and skate, there's also a "3 on 3" street hockey tournament, a Blackhawks team practice open to fans, live music, an interactive games area, and keepsake Blackhawks merchandise as raffle prizes. There will also be opportunities galore to meet and greet both current and past team members!

Age group categories for the 5K are as follows: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, and 65 and up.
Age group categories for the 10K skate are as follows: 14 and under, 15-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, 65-up.

What does the entry fee cover?
The entry fee includes a dry-fit shirt, post-race party and entry into the Chicago Blackhawks Training Camp Festival which takes place after the 5K.
Where does the race start?
The race will start at the United Center.
Where can I park?
There will be free parking in the United Center parking lots.
When is the race?
The 10K skate will begin at 8:00am Saturday, September 18th with the 5K Run/Walk to follow at 9:00am.
Where can I pick up my race packet?
Participants may collect their materials at Universal Sole (3052 North Lincoln Ave) on Saturday, September 11 from 12pm-6pm or Thursday, September 16 from 4pm-8pm.
