Official Event Website
The Les Turner ALS Walk4Life is one of the world's largest ALS gatherings, with thousands of walkers gathering each year. In its ten-year history, the Walk has raised over $6 million. Walkers organize into fundraising teams, demonstrating hope, courage and community in support of their loved ones.

Held on Chicago's lakefront, this event brings together thousands to raise money, and find a cure, for this progressive disease that adversely affects more than 1,000 Illinoisans--and many more nationwide -- through the invaluable work of the Les Turner ALS Foundation.

What is the ALS Walk4Life?
One of the world's largest ALS gatherings, the ALS Walk4Life is a two-mile walk along Chicago's beautiful lakefront and is a demonstration of hope, courage and community. Most people walk as teams honoring those currently living with ALS or in memory of someone who has passed away from the disease.

The day includes plenty of entertainment, including the Jesse White Tumblers, a moon walk, temporary tattoos, music and food!

Why Should YOU Walk4Life?
Participating in the Walk is a wonderful way to raise awareness and funds for ALS. Contributions to the ALS Walk4Life help fund medical research, patient service programs and education initiatives.

How Do I Walk4Life?
It's easy to start a team! Organize any group of two or more people, choose a team captain and select a team name. Teams enjoy an incredible experience together and gain an overwhelming sense of pride in their effort to "strike out" ALS. Team Captains will receive their own web page, which they can use to collect donations and recruit team members! You can also walk and fundraise as an individual. For more information, please contact the Foundation at (847) 679-3311.

Become a virtual walker. Virtual walkers are given the tools to raise awareness and funds for the Walk, but don't physically attend the event.

How Else Can I Get Involved?
Volunteer for the Walk. On the day of the Walk we always need volunteers to help direct foot traffic, hand out t-shirts and help ensure the event is a success. To submit a volunteer registration form, please click here.

Sponsor the Walk. The Foundation is always looking for corporate partners to help spread the word about ALS awareness and provide materials or monetary support for Foundation events. To learn more on how you can join us in the fight to eliminate ALS, please click here or call (847) 679-3311.
