It's about family, friends and community spirit at west suburban Wood Dale's popular "Prairie Fest." Celebrating its 11th anniversary in 2013, the fest is held at the DuPage County city's Town Square. The weekend kicks off with carnival rides and food vendors on Thursday before three days of expanded activities.
In addition to food, arts/craft vendors and carnival, Prairie Fest also features a live music stage showcasing a festive mix of pop and rock acts as well as special guest performances geared to kids and families. Also back again will be bingo play on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, and a fireworks display on Saturday night.
