Get ready to rock (and get socially-conscious) for a great cause! The first-ever Occupy Festival on May 12-13 in Union Park on Chicago's near-west side will peacefully embody the struggle of social and economic inequality. It also aims to shed a positive light on Chicagos diverse culture and spotlight the citys green positioning.
Occupy Festival will feature more than 25 exhilarating music acts performing on two stages, visual art (and artists), local food and beverage vendors, and a separate family-friendly area with fun activities for children and parents. There will also be special music guests and others who will stop by to show their support and passion over the weekend.
"This two-day green event will act as a fundraiser for the Occupy Movement by donating half of net profits to Occupy Chicago," says Graham Czach, event organizer. "Beyond the spectacular musical and visual entertainment, there will be plenty of food and fun activities for people of all ages."
Admission is $35 for a single-day pass, and $55 for a two-day pass, with VIP package options also available.
