Globe-spanning music. Eclectic cuisine. Cool artisans. Carnival rides... and more! Albany Park, the eclectic Chicago neighborhood on the city's northwest side, will again celebrate its ethnic diversity at the second annual Albany Park World Fest this August at Lawrence and Kimball (3400 W, the terminus of the CTA's Brown Line).

With more than 70 languages spoken in the community and its mix of restaurants, food markets and retailers, the two-day fest will mirror the neighborhood's melting pot culture. This includes nationalities hailing from Latin and Central America, the Middle East, Asia and Eastern Europe, to name just a few.

The music itself will make Albany Park World Fest worth checking out. From Brazilian beats and salsa to calypso, West African folkloric and Asian drums, the tunes will have a truly unique world flavor.
