Wacky 5K & 10K Run

Wacky 5K & 10K Run

Date: Sunday, March 9
Time: 10 a.m. Start
Location: Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum (Stockton & Fullerton Pkwy) | Chicago
Beneficiary: Central Lakeview Merchants Association
Maybe we should call it Chicago's Super Run/Walk! Mark your calendars for the 2014 Wacky Run which will have a "Superhero" theme. While we've sent invites out to Batman, Spider-Man, Wonder Women, Iron Man and, of course, Superman (to name just a few), mere humans can still register while we await responses from these crusaders for good over evil.

Participants are encouraged to dress as their own caped (or non-caped) comic book and movie faves. Andfor the recordwe won't discriminate against anyone who wants to costume up as a "Supervillian" for this March run in Lincoln Park. Hey, we need someone to battle the superheroes along the course route and at the post-race party inside the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum!

Chip-Timing Information
This year's event features the latest in timing technology: The Chronotrack Disposable Chip! The computer chip comes attached to a plastic strip that is already adhered to your bib #. No need to wait until race day to pick up your chip - it's already on your bib when you go to a Pre-Registration/Packet Pick-Up event!

The chip tag should be peeled from the bib on race day and attached to your shoelaces - adhesive tabs and your shoelaces keep the tag in place. You must cross the special mats at the start and finish lines in order for your time to be recorded.

After crossing the finish line, the tag is your's to dispose of or to keep as a souvenir of your experience at the Wacky 5K & 10K Run.

Download this document instructions on how to attach the tag to your shoes on race day.
