If not, don’t worry, we just recently announced it! After over two years of trying to get this event to fruition, Chicago Taco & Tequila Fest is finally happening this June in Lincoln Park. It seemed only natural to meld these two favorite vices together. And Lincoln Park (think the park just west of North Avenue beach) is a great fit. Plus, it’s not JUST tacos and tequila. We’re going to have a silent disco tent, a free sports yard that will include inflatables, life-size beer pong, human billiards and two volleyball courts as well as live music throughout the day. Oh, and did we mention margarita flights? In addition to the tequila tasting, you can purchase a 4-drink margarita flight to sample the various flavor offerings for only $20.

SO, if you haven’t already purchased your general admission ticket (which includes a FREE 12-oz margarita in the flavor of your choice), do it today! Click here for more details!

Two new happens are taking place this year for Roscoe Village Burger Fest in July. First, the logo — after many years — got a new fresh look. You may think that creating a new event logo is simple — a few clicks of a mouse and that’s it. We only wish it was that easy! After around 50 different versions, two committee meetings and many, many clicks of the mouse, we finally have a winner! The new design incorporates great burger elements in the logo and, well, a mouth-watering burger! So keep an eye out on the CTA, billboards, your mobile phones and in stores for the fresh, new look.

Speaking of new, you may see there is a Sam Adams logo front and center on all materials relating to Roscoe Village Burger Fest. That’s because we’ve signed them on as presenting sponsor of this year’s (and the next few years) event! Sam Adams will elevate this fest by offering new and exciting beverage choices for you to pair with a delicious burger. We look forward to their presence at this year’s festival!

Special Events Management is everywhere … whether you know us for our fun runs & walks throughout the spring and fall or our never-ending street festivals all summer, our reach is far (we even do tradeshows!).

The Chicago Women’s March is just one more spot we are in January.  Hope you can join us!

Have you checked out our event calendar recently?  If not, be sure to check out one of our newest festivals — Chicago Bourbon & Barbecue Fest on Saturday & Sunday, September 9-10.  This one-of-a-kind Chicago events will feature just what the names says along with great music from Keith Anderson and the Waco Brothers — along with many, many more (two stages on non-stop tunes).  Also, if whiskey isn’t your thing, don’t worry!  Beers (and even a few non-barbecue items) will be available too!  Be sure to check out this NEWBIE at Clybourn & Diversey!

We always joke that the beginning of summer for us at Special Events Management starts with the Belmont-Sheffield Music Fest.  It’s ironic because our “season” (as we like to call it) started back at the beginning of April but this weekend really kicks off festival season for us.  We love it though … our office and warehouse transform into a well-oiled machine that works non-stop (literally, we have team members here in the middle of the night unloading and reloading trucks).  In the summer, we work with over 150 additional individuals to make our events tick (compared to our core staff of around 30).  We welcome the start of summer for us — and you!

Welcome to our new website! Just in time for SEM’s busy event season, we’ve revamped our look.  We hope you like what you see. The home page keeps all the familiar quick-read “at-a-glance” elements on upcoming events. But you’ll also notice tons more pictures throughout the site.

Another thing you’ll notice? Within each event link are much easier to navigate drop tabs. These include such things as Social Media, Entertainment, Registration and/or Ticket Purchasing (if applicable), and much more. The goal of our new look is to make the website more visually inviting and user-friendly!

While rolling out these changes are always works-in-progress, as always we’d love your constructive feedback. Just shoot us a note with your thoughts (positive or negative) to: mail@ChicagoEvents.com.
